Brief Introduction

Zhang Dongming is a professor, doctoral supervisor at the Department of Natural Medicinal Chemistry. His main research interests are the discovery of active ingredients in Chinese herbal medicine and the development of new drugs. More than 500 new compounds were isolated from more than 20 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine. Among them, 5 novel framework compounds were selected as hot molecules by the international well-known journal Nat. Prod. Rep. Two drug candidates for chronic kidney disease, cerebral ischemia and Alzheimer's disease are in development. He has published more than 100 papers as corresponding author in high-level academic journals such as Org. Lett., Europ. J. Med. Chem., J. Nat. Prod., Bioorganic Chemistry, and Chinese Chemical Letters. More than 80 papers have been included in SCI and 14 patents have been granted.
