Brief Introduction

Wang Xiaojian, PhD. Associate Professor, master supervisor. In 2010, he graduated from China Pharmaceutical University with a doctorate degree. In the same year, he joined the synthetic medicinal chemistry laboratory of the Institute of Materia Medica to continue the research work on medicinal chemistry, innovative drug development, and organic synthesis methodology. During 2011-2012, he went to University of Illinois at Chicago to conduct joint research work. In 2011, he won the 14th Servier Young Medicinal Chemistry Award of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. In 2014 and 2016, he won the second prize of "Liang Zhou Huang Yu Liu" Youth Science and Technology Award. He was granted the first prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Award in 2015. In 2016, he was granted the title of Union Rising Star. During these years, he led the National Natural Science Foundation of China General Fund and Youth Fund Project. Since 2010, more than 50 SCI papers have been published, 6 patents have been applied, and 3 have been authorized. He participated 3 innovative drug projects which were carried out in clinical trials.


Research field:

(1) Drug discovery based on the Artificial intelligence (AI) method.

(2) Drug discovery based on the Receptor and ligand design method.

(3) Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of PROTAC molecules.
