Brief Introduction

Dr. Gao has received doctoral training at Karolinska Institutet from 2010 to 2014 in Zsusanna Wiesenfeld-Hallin’s group. During this period, he has discovered that sinomenine, a naturally derived alkaloid has broad spectrum analgesic property. Since then, Dr. Gao’s research has been focused on the discovery of novel analgesics for treatment of chronic pain form natural resources, and the clarification of underlying molecular mechanisms.
