Dr. Chen received his B.S. (2006) and M.S. (2009) from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and Ph.D. (2012) from the Institute of Materia Medica (IMM), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College. After that, he joined the faculty of IMM, CAMS & PUMC. From Aug 2019 to Dec 2020, he worked as a visiting scholar in Chemical Biology at the University of Texas. His research interests focus on exploring and engineering natural products biosynthesis. He has authored and co-authored over 60 scientific publications including Nature Chemical Biology, Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis and Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B.
