Research Center of Polymorphic Drugs

The Research Center of Polymorphic Drugs established by Institute of Materia Medica is the first specialized laboratory which is engaged in the study of pharmaceutical polymorphism. It has the equipment of complete pharmaceutical analysis techniques and apparatus, and is a member of the third-party testing laboratories of polymorphism attaching to national management agencies. The test reports submitted have legal effectuality and effectiveness of international mutual recognition. The Center has six staff members, including one full professor, one Ph.D. supervisor, one associate professor, and four research associates.
The Research Center of Polymorphic Drugs focuses on both fundamental and applied researches on areas of polymorphic screening of innovative drugs and lead compounds, characterizations of polymorphic materials carried out by different analytical techniques, evaluations of safety and stability of polymorphic materials, evaluations of bioactivity of polymorphic materials, evaluations of superior pharmaceutical polymorphs, studies of effective detecting methods of bulk pharmaceutical chemicals and solid preparations, and studies of standards of pharmaceutical polymorphs.
